New Additions to the Watch List.

Last week I was looking for a retraction in the stock market, but ‘good news’ kept the bulls in play. If I felt bearish last week, I feel really bearish this week. However, I try to play the long side, so here are some newbies to my [popup]Watch List[/popup] based up uptrend breakout technical scans.

$TTWO at 10 horizontal resistance.
$CKR – triangle, now sitting on bottom
$CLP -looks like a pretty good swing opportunity. If you look at the daily for the last year, you’ll see the obvious horizontal resistance level that CLP is starting to push through with improving volume.
$NFP – testing May highs.
$CTS – channeling between 8.4 and 9.3. Watching.
$LJPC – holding trendline. Might be worth scalping on a big volume day.
$FLEX – Multiple tests against 5.7
$ABD – Testing 5 with strong volume.
$Q – A move through 4.10 will get Q through trendline resistance. Target 4.75
$ANAD – I like ANAD for a trendline bounce here.
$HW – Looking for a MA50 breakout.

Portfolio Update (Week in Review)

Here is a quick summary of my trades (June 8 – 12):

Currently holding $BLDP and $CPBY.  Both flat right now.  The following trades were closed last week and as you can tell, life was good. The only losing trades were from OCNF and ACUS.

$AXL: 12.8% gain

$ICO: 2.3% gain

$ARNA: 8% gain

$CEGE: 6% gain

$URRE: 9.5% gain

$LJPC: 3.3% gain

$SOLR: 6% gain

$CAEI: 7% gain

$VRNM: 4% gain

$ACUS: 6% loss

$OCNF: 5% loss

Portfolio Update

I spent most of my time on the sidelines today – too many obligations outside of the trading mosh pit.

Today’s activity:

• Made some great coin on URRE today – scalp play in at $1.63 and out at $1.80 (9.5% gain)
• Sold LJPC for $.40 for 3.3% gain.  I was just ready to get out.
• Holding ACUS because I’m loco.  I just keep thinking that it is going to move back up strong through MA200.  I’m only down a little right now.
• Still holding OCNF.  MA20 is my exit and it never quite gets down there. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.

I hope to get more involved tomorrow.

Portfolio Update

Today was definitely a good day for sitting in front of the computer and scalping.  The market offered numerous opportunities for those with great timing – unfortunately, I didn’t have a lot of time (damn that day job).

What happened in my wallet:

• I sold the second 1/2 of my position in AXL – this was a great trade pocketing me just under 13% in total.
• I scalped ICO for 2.3%.  Blah.. I know, not that exciting, but it all adds up.
• I scalped ARNA for 8% gain – left a lot on the table, but not bad considering how much time I spent away from the computer..
• I scalped CEGE for 6.5% gain.

What didn’t go so well:

• Still holding (what’s wrong me with) OCNF – currently down 4.5%
• Still holding ACUS – down 8%
• Still holding LJPC – flat

There is a good chance I will not hold these three by this time tomorrow.  ACUS caught me by surprise.  I was doing fine and then the bottom fell out in the early afternoon.

Overall, I can’t complain.  I pocketed great returns today… now I just need to be smart tomorrow with the 3 positions I’m sleeping with.

Portfolio Update

• Sold BRKS for 12% profit.  Lovin it.
• Holding 1/2 of my original position in AXL after nice AM200 breakout on Friday.
• Holding OCNF – Kinda bored of it, but that’s often when it breaks out. We’ll see what happens Monday. Volume has died off, so I’m not too sure what to think of it.
• Holding ACUS. I’m up slightly, but I think the story will be told on Monday – needs to move through MA200.  I like my odds.
• Holding LJPC.  It is important that MA20 support holds, or I’m out.
