Sunday 4/19 Watch List Update

It is the weekend, so time to clean up the Watch List.. remove stocks that didn’t play out as well as those that were successful. Overall, it was a great week and many of the Watch List ideas were quite profitable.  Admittedly, not all stocks were my ideas, but instead, an accumulation of both mine and others from, primarily, the stockwits networks.

Stocks I’m removing from the list today:

Winners:

CEP – posted on the 10th – I was looking for a horizontal breakout above $2.0 and MA50.  Breakout confirmed on 14th and hasn’t looked back.  BOOOOM.

EGLE - added on the 10th – I was looking for triangle breakout and man did we get one. KKKAAABOOOOOMM!

STI – added on the 10th – I was looking for horizontal breakout above $15. STI is now sitting north of $18.

HTM – broke through trendline resistance, but still worth watching – sitting on a lot of horizontal resistance at $.90

CPE – originally mentioned on March 19th, CPE continues to move well. May have hit resistance, but what a great move on the 14th from under $1.5 to over $2

PFE finally moved through trendline resistance and MA50… took it a while, but experienced a great move on Friday.

CUB – added on the 11th – performed a head fake Monday, but then pushed strong through the end of the week.  Very strong  breakout.

ETFC – added on the 11th – financials had a huge week and ETFC was no exception.

Great Day!

Despite the market’s late day sell-off, it was a great day as many of my watch list stocks finally broke out… and some of them in a big way.

CENX proved it’s strength today. I’m long.. still having some issues pushing through $4. Tuesday will be interesting.

EGLE – I didn’t take a position, but the chart definitely gave an opportunity to do so. We’ll see where it goes now.

STI – BOOOOOOMMMMMM.  Horizontal resistance was taken out for a perfect day trade.

HTM- Trendline resistance taken out.  Now at horizontal resistance.  I like the volume, but not quite as interested.

PLD continues to look strong.

ETFC – The mover of the day! KABBBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOMM. Compared to yesterday’s chart.

FEED - an even bigger mover than ETFC!  Beautiful, textbook – whatever you want to call it.. I call it +30%.

FCEL – I took a position as it moved through horizontal resistance and MA50.

New Stocks to My Watch List

Ok, here are a few stocks I’ll be watching Thursday morning based on some late night technical screens:

HAYZ – may turn south, but I like the MA20 touch and bounce today. Worth watching for move out of triangle. High risk penny.

HOV – I would really like to see this one get through $2.

CNB – As you can tell, I like to watch stocks consolidating.. Sitting on MA20.  HERO is another. CHB – and another.

UFS – MA20/MA50 crossover possible Thursday. I might be interested above $1.15. Would like to see volume breakout.

Recent Watch Lists Status

I’m suffering from withdrawals right now – I haven’t been able to trade since Monday thanks to a rather large project at my ‘real’ job.  Hopefully tomorrow will allow for more time to do what I love – trade, baby!

OK. Let’s see what’s going on with some recent stocks on my watch lists.

Stocks from Monday’s watch list that I’m still eyeballing:
(man I wish I would have played more of these)

EESO penny stock making a nice tight triangle.

FOE – I played FOE early Monday and wish I would have held.  Big day today.

UTSI continues to move well.

FR – Still watching – I like the volume accumulation here.

EGLE – continues to build on triangle – might be in play Thursday.

NPD – wham bam thank you maam.  Up huge since adding to watch list.  I’ll wait for new entry.

WNR still setting up for a breakout!  DO IT!!!

DNP – I’m losing interest, but a breakout out of this ascending triangle will make me interested again.

AJG – gotta watch this one for a MA50 breakout. I’ll be there if it moves.

Watching Monday

Here are a few stocks that I’ll be watching Monday for possible scalp or swing trades… most are technically setup for long trades, but some might make great shorts if they break south out of current chart pattern..

ALSK – beautiful pennant

FEED – another pennant to watch. I’ll play them either direction.
