• Sold NXG – 5.3% gain
• Sold MFG – 2.31% gain
• Scalped DYAX today for 2.76% loss
• Scalped SIRI today for 4% loss
• Scalped DPTR for break even

New Positions:

• AMZN long at 119.24
• MIPI long at 1.37
• BCRX long at 6.67
• AEZ long at 5.02

2/26 Portfolio Update

Man, oh, man… this tight trading range realllly forces you to be an active trader with little room for guesses and hopes.

• We saw a great move in KFN today, so I booked profits of 7%
• I decided to exit DPTR – might have room to the upside, but wanted to move money elsewhere – 4% gain
• Sold my HL position for 5.5% gain
• Sold RNN for break even – didn’t move
• Scalped CSE for .01 loss.

New positions:

• Holding ATHX at 3.26 entry
• Holding NXG at 2.64 entry
• Holding MFG at 3.90 entry

2/25 Portfolio Update

Crazy day from the trading day… made a few great trades and made a few not-so-great…
First, the not-so-great:

• I took a chance on FIG yesterday and took a small position into the close.  This goes against my rules because this morning they reported earnings – they weren’t that bad, but the street didn’t like them, so I got stopped out for a small loss.
• I also bought VG on news this morning at horizontal resistance.  Bad play… I should have waited for breakout confirmation first.  The good news is that I sold pretty quickly on the failed move for a small loss.

Now, the good news:

• DPTR and KFN both had strong days. Still holding these swings into Friday.
• I also picked up some HL at 4.92 and am holding it into close at 5.18 – great day for gold.
• Late day pickup of RNN – flat here. We’ll see how it goes.

2/24 Portfolio Update

I had a hard time getting the momentum going today.  I did make a few scalps in PSID – made $800 .

Here is the rest of today’s activity:

YRCW scalp 7% gain

CVM scalp – lost 1.8%

HLCS – flat swing.
Holding FIG, KFN, DPTR over night.

Watch List Update

As you may have noticed, I haven’t added any new stocks to the Watch List since back on 8/27.  Time to change all of that.

Two big winners from the WL today: DPTR and GSX

• DPTR was added back on 8/21 and today we finally saw a move through horizontal resistance at 2 bucks.  The swing entry point was triggered.
• GSX busted out today with gains up over 25%.  This was an absolutely gorgeous play today.  I was looking for the safe breakout about horizontal resistance at .32 and man, we got it.  GSX finished at its high of the day. KABOOOOM

The rest of the WL:

• ALTI looks good to me as a swing here as long as it holds trendline support.
• FREE – Made a move through MA20 today, but don’t like that the open was the high of day.
• DSCO is poop until further notice. If it breaks out, then and only then, will I jump in for a long scalp.
• LVLT still looks like crap,but would be interested in a scalp on a move through MA20.
• AGEN – keeps feeling like a breakout on the horizon… keeping an eyeball on it.
