Not a lot of goodness from the Watch List today – as a matter of fact – I’ll probably be cleaning it off and starting over… setups don’t last very long. That’s to be expected, however, since I usually tend to track stocks that are setup for the long side. More specifically, I look for stocks ‘about’ to break out that must do something positive the next day for me to enter.
I didn’t play anything today.
AXL – failed against MA200, so no entry.
BZH – no breakout and just sitting on MA200. No entry.
ABAT – the only real entry today was down around MA20. A bounce off of those levels showed support and possible entry. I didn’t play – I need more confirmation.
SRZ might have caught a few folks today since it opened up. Market drug it down and horizontal resistance prevailed.
CPST – I didn’t jump in, but I like the consolidation and low volume on a down day. I’m still interested.
GNBT - I should have played this one. Looks good. Congrats if you got in on the action – looking for more upside.
CENX – looks like a falling knife now, but always worth watching.
DSCO ended up being a great short. Glad I didn’t participate.
Enough of that – next post will have new stuff!

Ok, it’s going to be hard to beat today’s activity, but let’s see what the chart scans tell us…
AXL – Ok, I know… AXL should take a hit from all of the bad news from the auto industry, but I’m just playing the charts and if we see a move through MA200, I might go long with tight stop.
BZH – another industry I’m not a big fan of, but I like the chart. Ready for breakout above MA200 with tight stop.
ABAT – I love the volume and bounce off MA20 on Monday. I might go long here with tight stop and hope for a horizontal resistance breakout at $4.10.
SRZ - Testing horizontal resistance with opening bollinger bands and improving volume. Might make for a quick day trade. We’ll see how it plays out.
CPST - Feels like it is time for CPST. I might take a position tomorrow and look for a move through MA50. This is a gut play.
GNBT and VG from @bysellshort. I agree with his calls on these. They both look ready to move.
CENX – I’m ready to play this good looking triangle up or down.
I’m tired. That’s all I’ve got for tonight.

I’m really ready for the 3 day weekend. I don’t have any fun plans setup, but I do have a lot to do around the house… yeah, yeah – very exciting, I know. Next weekend is my girlfriend’s bday and we’ll likely be outa town, so this weekend is all about getting stuff done.
Well, I sold my BKE today and my CENX yesterday. Both great plays as BKE beat analysts expectations and CENX trended up nicely to $7. I had a feeling it would reverse there. I made $1.05 on CENX and $2.04 on BKE.
Others of interest from Tuesday night’s watch List:
CTIC is still consolidating down and forming a nice little pennant. I’m looking for the move up or down.
CHTRQ – still watching this tight consolidation on the daily.

Yup, I’ve been away a while – lots of stuff going on at work and in my personal life. However, I intend to be back on a regular basis again… so, sorry if life has been rough without me.. lol.
I’m currently long CENX (in at $5.88) – Might take some off the table tomorrow, especially if we hit $7 – some resistance there.
I am also long BKE – this is a longer term play, but I’m watching earnings closely in a few days just in case the report isn’t that great. I like BKE – good shopping experience. The energy in the stores is bubbly (the kids dig it). I’m in under $32.
Some new stocks showing up on my screens this evening:
CTIC – I like CTIC here – call it a hunch, or a gut, or whatever.. but i like the consolidation on decreasing volume… a move might be imminent.
CHTRQ – Tightening bollinger bands and sitting on MA50. I’m interested with a stop just under MA50. Risky penny, but the stop is setup nicely.
QTM – MA50/MA200 cross coming? Full Sto turning bullish. ADX cross? I’m possibly long over MA20.
LSI might be an intersting play long with MA200 support and stop just below. Needs to move through first. Full Sto turning bullish.

Which Watch List stock should I feature from last week? There were a lot of moves, but I really enjoyed the breakout from CENX the most. Why? Because CENX is a good example of why I stick with a stock while it is still setup. I don’t mean to buy and hold and hope for the best. I’m talking about waiting to take a position as long as the stock is setup. Check out the CENX chart – it has been hitting against $4 since the beginning of April. A move strong through $4 was the play on a breakout and it finally happened. CENX - the play of the week.
