Monday Watch List

Last Sunday, I posted a dozen or so stocks to watch.   Most didn’t do much.. up a little, down a little.  However, 4 were winners – MBRX shot up over 60%;  CPST up over 13%;  ZHNE up over 19%; and NXG over 9%.  From last week’s list, BDSI and ZHNE look ready to add more.

More Monday, Oct 12, here are the technically setup long stocks I’ll be watching:

BDSI – I like this test of resistance on opening bollinger bands.  Could be interesting this week.

ZHNE started its move last week and could continue to add. Worth watching.

WAVE – Nice volume accumulation. Looking for a 1.10 breakout.

SNV on trendline and banging against MA200. Would like to see it move through with target 4.5. BTW – also setting up for MA50/200 cross.

DVAX Watching for move up through MA50 on bottomed out Full Sto, RSI14 testing 50 (daily) and MA50 support on the weekly.

FBC – Flagstar Bancorp building a little flag on the daily. Might be worth an eyeball.

Here are few more – maybe not as setup as the above, but worth watching:

QRCP – improving volume on Thursday and Friday – watching for move north of .60.

BNVI - nice MA200 support. Would like to see a .50 entry with move up from there to MA50.

ASTM might be over sold. Worth watching for bottom reversal.

GNBT reversal. Target .85 on swing.

AMCC – nice consolidation.

SVA – long swingable.

ARNA – could go up or down here on MA200. Careful.

The Daily Scan

I’ve been preachin the love for $HEB and I finally got the breakout I was looking for.  There are numerous reasons I like this stock and I think it should have enough legs to get to 3 in the short term. we’ll see.

$CPST – Full Sto is shooting up with congestion price movement. I’m looking for the breakout through MA200 soon.

$STSI – RSI and Full Sto moving up with strong volume – breakout soon?

$AGEN – Will AGEN hold MA50?  If it does, I could swing it long.

$SPPI - Improving volume and rounded bottom on Full Sto.  Could be an interesting long swing play here.  Watching for MA20 support hold tomorrow.

$HSTX – Above 6.75

$FOE above 3.25 horizontal resistance

$FNSR – Nice move through MA200.  ADX crossing. Might be an interesting swing long here.

Portfolio Update (Week in Review)

Here is a quick summary of my trades (June 8 – 12):

Currently holding $BLDP and $CPBY.  Both flat right now.  The following trades were closed last week and as you can tell, life was good. The only losing trades were from OCNF and ACUS.

$AXL: 12.8% gain

$ICO: 2.3% gain

$ARNA: 8% gain

$CEGE: 6% gain

$URRE: 9.5% gain

$LJPC: 3.3% gain

$SOLR: 6% gain

$CAEI: 7% gain

$VRNM: 4% gain

$ACUS: 6% loss

$OCNF: 5% loss

Watch List Update

Overall, it was a great day from the watch list with a few breaking out over 20%.

FIG – Still sitting on MA200. I’m not quite ready to buy.. looking for the bounce.

DRYS – I’m kinda pissed off at the shippers right now – volume is falling away and many are holding on to support for their lives.  DRYS did bounce off MA50.

ULU had a big day.  Tough play since it gapped up to MA50, but nice volume and nice morning scalp if you had the time.

GFG – KABOOM. Massive move today and I missed it. This bad-boy ran strong through .40 (my target) before retreating back to a .38 – a 31% gain.

ATHR didn’t do much today, but it did setup nicely on MA200 with MA50 itching to cross. I’m watching this one like a hawk on Tuesday.

URRE forming nice 1 month cup and handle with MA50/200 crossover setup. Worth watching.

ANX was a mess today – wow. I couldn’t find a play and MA200 beat it down before lunch.

CHB – I’m glad I didn’t play this one because it definitely would have taken my money.  It opened above MA50 (what I was looking for), but then collapsed from there. Geeze.

GNVC rewarded the scalpers there were not greedy.  Huge trading zone with huge volume. I have no idea where the entry is now – If I had to play it, today was the day – intraday.

BLC was an absolutely beautiful play.  As soon as BLC moved into positive territory (just before 1pm), it was time to buy.  From then on, it was setup for good profits between 5-10%.  Great volume and up in after hours.

ARNA was another big winner up over 25%.  Even more if you were able to get in on the pull back near MA200.

HEK – This is a gerat looking chart.  An entry near the open today would have up up over 4% with more possible upside.  Nice volume and bullish Full Sto.

XTXI – Setting up against horizontal resistance. Wondering if it has enough left in it to run. Still has great volume, but Full Sto concerns me.
