2/25 Portfolio Update

Crazy day from the trading day… made a few great trades and made a few not-so-great…
First, the not-so-great:

• I took a chance on FIG yesterday and took a small position into the close.  This goes against my rules because this morning they reported earnings – they weren’t that bad, but the street didn’t like them, so I got stopped out for a small loss.
• I also bought VG on news this morning at horizontal resistance.  Bad play… I should have waited for breakout confirmation first.  The good news is that I sold pretty quickly on the failed move for a small loss.

Now, the good news:

• DPTR and KFN both had strong days. Still holding these swings into Friday.
• I also picked up some HL at 4.92 and am holding it into close at 5.18 – great day for gold.
• Late day pickup of RNN – flat here. We’ll see how it goes.

2/24 Portfolio Update

I had a hard time getting the momentum going today.  I did make a few scalps in PSID – made $800 .

Here is the rest of today’s activity:

YRCW scalp 7% gain

CVM scalp – lost 1.8%

HLCS – flat swing.
Holding FIG, KFN, DPTR over night.

2/23 Portfolio Update

Had a great day and a lot of fun in the Boom Factor (bullson.ws).

• ABK scalp for 6% gain
• sold NVLT overnight hold for 11.5% gain
• sold GNBT scalp attempt for flat gains
• Holding HLCS (new purchase)
• Holding KFN

2/22 Portfolio Update

Today is an exciting day – I am now officially a full-time trader and employee of BullsOnWallStreet.  Going forward, you’ll start seeing a lot more posts here and on bullson.ws as I chronicle the next journey in my life.

From the trading account:

Did some scalping in MPG for 6% gain

Sold PMI swing for 8% gain

Bought KFN at 6.32 and NVLT at 1.42 – we’ll see how these perform tomorrow.

BullsOnWallStreet Awards Finalist

Over 250,000 nominations have been tweeted for The Shorty Awards to determine the six finalists in each of the 26 official categories. The winners will be announced on March 3, 2010 at the TheTimesCenter in The New York Times Building, thanks to support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

The big news is that BullsOnWallStreet is a finalist in the Financial category – this is impressive considering Bulls has only been around for a few months.  Check out the article here.

Movie Night: The Hangover

Hahahahaha.  What’s there not to like about this movie?  Men acting like idiots, uncomfortable situations, missing friends, Mike Tyson, and a naked Asian dude in the trunk.  What more could you ask for?  Definitely one of the best comedies I’ve seen in a while and worth a rental – 3.5 outa 5 stars.  So, what’s the story with the chicken?  lol

1/29 Porftolio Update

100% cash.. and why wouldn’t I be as the market does the freaky dance?  Sold SYNM for small profit and made 11% on SNT – kaboom.
